The New Age Nightmare
AI has become the new normal, especially in 2023, where we saw a new revolution in the world of AI with tools like Copy.ai, ChatGPT, Bard, and so many more coming into play. It is scary yet amazing how AI has developed and can do almost everything a human can. People are talking about how AI will soon replace human beings everywhere, and many are concerned about the job scenario as the unemployment rate is already increasing. If AI can do their jobs more efficiently, employers may avoid hiring employees and would much rather use AI.
What can we do?
It is indeed a concerning situation, as many have lost their jobs due to the fact that AI is much more efficient and cost-effective. Many job roles can be affected. But there is a solution. Here's what you need to understand:
• AI is here to stay, and the best option for you is to learn how to work with it rather than against it.
• Get familiar with the new technology and learn how to use AI to improve your work and productivity.
• Although AI is efficient, after a point, it gets repetitive and monotonous. Employers look for someone who could use AI to enhance their imagination rather than using it for plagiarism.
• Keep up with the trends to stay relevant. Keep honing your skills and upskilling. Never shy away from learning new things. If you can provide two services together (like graphic designing and social media marketing), employers are going to prefer you over other candidates.
• No AI is capable of matching a human brain's creativity because it lacks emotional understanding and imagination.
As a content writer, I am still accepting the fact that there is technology that is capable of doing what I can do. I am still learning to use AI and trying to convince myself that it is okay as long as the work is my own (I am more of a conventional writer who doesn't like using AI). It's difficult and even confusing, and that's okay! In the end, all of us are learning to adapt to this sudden surge of technology.
Conclusion
AI is not as scary as you think. It all depends on how you accept it. You can ignore its relevance and stay uninformed, or you can misuse it and lose opportunities that could help you grow. Alternatively, you could learn how to use it efficiently to increase your productivity while still letting your creativity flow.
